About UHSO Organization

The Union Health Services Organization is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that provides essential health, education, and social services to the people of Afghanistan. The UHSO is committed to providing services without considering political, national, racial, linguistic, geographic, or religious affiliations. With a presence in all provinces of the country, the organization will be able to reach out to the most. marginalized and vulnerable communities and provide them with the support they need to improve their quality of life. The organization is registered under the Ministry of Economics and is committed to expanding its reach in all provinces of Afghanistan gradually. Through its dedicated team of professionals and volunteers, the UHSO is making a significant contribution towards improving the health and wellbeing of communities.


Our vision is a country where everyone has access to quality healthcare, education, and social support services, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. We aim to empower individuals and communities to lead healthy, fulfilling lives by providing comprehensive services that address their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Our Team

UHSO employees are diverse individuals with various expertise, skills, and emotions. They come from different backgrounds and have different levels of experience in the healthcare, education, business, and banking industries. The gender composition of UHSO employees is balanced, with both male and female employees contributing equally to the organization’s success.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Ahmad Modares Shirzad

Dr. Ahmad Modares Shirzad is a renowned medical professional who has dedicated his life to serving those in need throughout Afghanistan. He graduated from one of the most prestigious medical universities in the country, where he obtained his degree in medicine. As a student at the university, Dr. Shirzad was actively involved in various leadership roles in many social activities. Dr. Shirzad tries to play a key role in leading the organization towards achieving its goals.

Hedayatullah Sulaimankhail

Mr. Hedyatullah Sulaimankhail is a distinguished economist dedicated to advancing economic growth, development and prosperity in Afghanistan. With a passion for economics and a strong commitment to public service, Mr. Sulaimankhail has worked in various key positions within the Afghanistan Ministry of Commerce, with a focus on developing policies that provide for inclusive economic growth and increased private sector investment

Dr. Musa Bashir

Dr. Mousa Bashir is head of the UHSO board with a PhD in Health Education and Health Promotion. Throughout his academic career, h e  has  demonstr ated a  remarkable commitment to providing health services to deprived areas, often as a team leader. To promote his effectiveness, he has enhanced his abilities in numerous areas such as project management, monitoring and evaluation, management , business, and English language (TOEFL & IELTS technics).

Ekramudeen Rahimi

Mr. Ekramuddin Rahimi is a distinguished member of the UHSO board, who brings a unique blend of expertise and experience to the table. He is a master of finance and banking, an accomplished academic writer, and an expert economic lecturer. Not only is he familiar with data analysis, but he also has a wealth of procurement experience, having worked in various positions in the field. Rahimi has been working as a banking supervisor since April 2019, where he has been responsible for overseeing and regulating various financial institutions.

Muhammad Faisal Ziayee

Ahmad Faisal Ziayee is a highly-experienced individual who has ser ved in various professional capacities throughout his career. He is a dedicated UHSO board member who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organization. Prior to his current role, Ziayee worked as a teacher, librarian, vaccinator, and IT officer. As a teacher, he helped to shape the minds of countless young students, providing them with the knowledge and skills they needed to succeed in their academic pursuits.

Ahmad Khalid Wadaan

Mr. Ahmad Khalid Wadaan is a finance professional with extensive experience in the fields of financial management, audit, and compliance. Mr. Wadaan
holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Banking from Kabul University and a bachelor’s degree in national economics from Nangarhar University, where he gained a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and financial decision-making. with 3 years of experience in financial management, Mr. Wadaan has played a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, budgeting, and forecasting.
